About me
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor working with adolescents (15+) and adults with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, life transitions/direction, trauma, and men's issues.
Currently accepting new clients for all times of day, in-person and online.
Howdy! If you're reading this, you've already taken a valuable step in working to better yourself and your circumstances, and I'd be delighted to be of help in your endeavors.
My basis of practice is person-centered therapy. In plain speak, I believe that you're the best expert on yourself, and my role is to help you use that knowledge to grow. I can't give you all the answers you want, but I can be with you while we seek your answers. I can also provide concrete techniques and exercises for you to apply outside of therapy.
I tend to be pretty laidback in my approach and enjoy keeping things conversational. No need to call me Mr. Benton, unless you just really want to. Worried that I'll blush if you feel like swearing? Hell, I very well may beat you to it in our first session! Therapy isn't always heavy and my goal isn't to make my client feel miserable, at least not without good reason.
