About me

My name is Jade Kemp, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) dedicated to helping individuals navigate grief, trauma, anxiety, and life transitions with strength and clarity. My work is rooted in both clinical expertise and lived understanding — I do not see people as diagnoses, but as stories that deserve to be heard, honored, and supported.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing evidence-based, trauma-informed psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. My clinical specialties include anxiety disorders, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, depressive disorders, addiction recovery, and adjustment to significant life transitions.

In addition to my clinical practice, I am currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology. My doctoral work focuses on the intersection of environment and mental health, examining how contextual factors — including urban and rural settings — influence psychological well-being, coping patterns, and access to care. This research informs my clinical approach by reinforcing the importance of treating the whole person within their lived environment.

My therapeutic framework integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based interventions. Treatment is structured, collaborative, and goal-oriented, with measurable objectives and ongoing evaluation of progress. I focus on cognitive restructuring, emotional regulation, behavioral activation, and skill development to promote long-term symptom reduction and functional improvement.

I have extensive experience working with individuals navigating complex PTSD, addiction, grief and loss, stressors to include divorce, relational betrayal, occupational stress, identity shifts, chronic anxiety, and unresolved trauma. I approach treatment through a biopsychosocial lens, recognizing the interaction between psychological patterns, relational systems, and environmental stressors.

My style is direct, grounded, and clinically focused. I aim to create a therapeutic environment that is both psychologically safe and growth-oriented — one where clients feel supported while also being challenged toward meaningful and sustainable change.

I am committed to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and delivering competent, research-informed care that promotes resilience, stability, and psychological strength.
