About me

More Than Credentials: A Commitment to Healing and Growth

I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in helping individuals overcome mental health challenges. My approach is active, collaborative and focused on helping you identify the thoughts, emotions and patterns that may be standing in the way of the life you want.

Many of my clients are ready for change but unsure how to move forward. Together, we work to uncover strengths, build insight and develop practical strategies that support meaningful growth in your relationships, career, recovery and overall well-being.

My passion for psychology began while volunteering at a crisis hotline during college, which inspired me to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology. During graduate school, my work in correctional settings led me to specialize in the treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, recognizing the strong connection between addiction, trauma, anxiety, and depression.

I have trained and worked in a variety of settings, including substance use treatment programs, VA hospitals, outpatient clinics, correctional facilities, and hospice care. These experiences shaped my commitment to providing accessible, high-quality mental health care and ultimately led to the creation of Gabriel Counseling Services.

I specialize in treating PTSD, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, chronic pain, and insomnia. My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Above all, I am inspired by the resilience of the people I serve and consider it a privilege to help clients heal, grow, and move forward.
