Hi, my name is Iyana Davidson. Let me first introduce myself, and give you a little background information on myself and my experience as a therapist. I am a LMHC, Licensed Mental Health Therapist, in the State of Florida. I have been practicing counseling for a total of nine years. Before receiving my Masters in Clinical Psychology, I received a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. After a change of heart and career goals; becoming a therapist was my new passion. I have found no better way to do work that is meaningful and transformative to others; while simultaneously supporting and facilitating my own personal growth. My experience include issues related to anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders. I have found a niche in applying Cognitive and Humanistic Behavioral approaches. Both approaches challenge clients to identify negative thought patterns; which can help clients to view and respond to challenging situations in a more effective way. Humanistic approach allows for clients to focus on strengths and not faults, and also allows for self-help. A person is always responsible for their own happiness, and I'm here to help you find it.
