About me
Hi, I’m Isabel Serna. I’m a trauma-informed therapist offering supportive, collaborative therapy for adults navigating anxiety, relationships, attachment wounds, and the impact of past experiences. I aim to create a space that feels safe, grounding, and nonjudgmental. If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to connect—feel free to schedule a brief phone call to see if we’re a good fit.
Many of my clients are insightful, self-aware, and deeply caring—but feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, guilt, emotional overwhelm, or feeling responsible for others’ feelings.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounding. I integrate attachment-based work, nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed care to help clients understand why they feel the way they do—not just how to cope. Together, we slow things down, build emotional safety, and gently explore patterns shaped by family dynamics, cultural expectations, and past relationships.
I pay close attention to moments when words feel hard to find, emotions feel tangled, or the body shuts down. These responses aren’t flaws—they’re protective strategies that once made sense. Therapy with me focuses on increasing self-compassion, emotional clarity, and the ability to set boundaries without guilt.
I strive to create a space that feels nonjudgmental, steady, and human. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, more secure in relationships, and more confident trusting your own needs and voice. If you’re looking for therapy that goes deeper while still feeling supportive and practical, I’d be honored to work with you.
