About me

I support children with anxiety, behavioral challenges, and emotional overwhelm while helping parents better understand what their child needs and how to respond with confidence.

I work with children, adolescents, and families to support emotional growth, build coping skills, and strengthen relationships. I’m passionate about helping young clients better understand their emotions and develop tools that support long-term resilience and well-being.

I bring a warm, thoughtful, and flexible approach to therapy, meeting each child where they are and adapting my work to their unique needs and developmental stage. I create a safe, supportive space where children and families can feel understood, connected, and empowered as they navigate challenges together.

I believe therapy should be a space where each client feels seen, heard, and supported for who they are. I take a client-centered approach, recognizing that there is no one “right” way to approach healing. I work collaboratively with my clients, allowing their unique experiences, perspectives, and needs to guide the process.

I create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where children can explore their emotions and express themselves freely. Through play-based therapy, creative expression, and conversation, I help children build the skills they need to better understand and manage their feelings while strengthening their sense of self.

My work is grounded in the belief that early support can have a lasting impact. I’m especially passionate about helping children and adolescents develop emotional insight and regulation skills that support long-term mental wellness and resilience.

I also work closely with parents and caregivers, recognizing the important role they play in a child’s growth and healing. I provide guidance and support to help families better understand their child’s emotional needs, improve communication, and create a more connected and supportive home environment.

My clinical experience includes working in both school-based and therapeutic settings, where I have supported children with a wide range of needs, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and neurodivergence. I have experience working with children with ADHD, autism, and other learning and emotional differences, and I bring a flexible, compassionate approach to meeting each child’s individual needs.

I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including play therapy, CBT-informed techniques, narrative therapy, solution-focused work, somatic approaches, and mindfulness. I tailor my work to each client, creating an individualized and responsive experience that supports meaningful growth and change.

I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #160630) and work under the supervision of Paula Kettula, LCSW (#25403).

I’m dedicated to helping children and families feel more connected, supported, and empowered as they build the skills needed for long-term emotional well-being.

Practice Information

I am part of Porta Verum Psychotherapy Services, an integrative, trauma-informed group practice dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families heal from trauma, overcome emotional and relational challenges, and create lives rooted in connection, empowerment, and well-being.

At Porta Verum, we believe that well-being is possible—even if you’ve been struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or long-standing patterns that feel hard to change. Healing is not just about managing symptoms; it’s about developing the awareness, resilience, and tools needed to create meaningful, lasting change.

Our team of highly trained therapists provides compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs. We support clients in understanding themselves more deeply, regulating stress and emotions, and building healthier patterns in their lives and relationships.

What makes our practice unique is our integrative, whole-person approach. In addition to psychotherapy, we offer mindfulness-based practices and therapeutic yoga designed to support nervous system regulation, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote deeper healing—especially for those recovering from trauma.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, we provide a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, gain clarity, and begin to move forward with greater confidence and ease.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
