About me
I’m a Clinical Psychologist specializing in sleep treatment and solution-focused therapy, helping children, adolescents, and adults develop practical strategies to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing.
I’m Dr. Isaac Y. Taitz, a Clinical Psychologist, published author, researcher, and speaker. I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health and life challenges, with specialized expertise in sleep treatment and solution-focused therapy.
My approach is centered on understanding your unique perspective, strengths, challenges, and goals. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with you to identify practical, creative solutions that build on what is already working and help you develop new strategies when your usual approaches are no longer enough.
I specialize in evidence-based sleep treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the gold standard for insomnia treatment, as well as Imagery Rehearsal Therapy for nightmares and Lucid Dreaming Therapy. I also work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, inattention, impulsivity, pain, concussion-related concerns, bereavement, relationship difficulties, and autism spectrum behaviors.
I believe therapy should be collaborative, supportive, and tailored to the individual. When appropriate and with your permission, I can also collaborate with family members, schools, coaches, physicians, and other members of your support network to create a more integrated approach to care.
For younger clients, I often incorporate their interests, favorite media, and pop culture into therapy to make the process more engaging and to develop creative solutions for personal and interpersonal challenges.
My goal is not simply to help you manage your current concerns, but to help you develop skills and strategies that you can continue using beyond therapy. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, and that All Minds Deserve Health.
