About me
I work with women ready to stop performing and start living - examining the systems, relationships, and beliefs that keep you disconnected from your authentic power.
About Me
I'm Inga, and I've spent over 20 years working with women who are exhausted from performing, accommodating, and shrinking themselves to fit into systems that were never designed for their wellbeing. If you're here because you're finally ready to stop explaining away your dissatisfaction and start examining why you feel so disconnected from your own life, we might be a good fit.
I don't do surface-level work. I'm not here to help you "cope better" with situations that are fundamentally harming you, or to teach you breathing techniques so you can tolerate the intolerable. My approach is about deep examination - looking at the systems, relationships, beliefs, and patterns that keep you stuck, small, or performing a version of yourself that doesn't feel true anymore.
The Work I Do
My practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and what I call liberation-focused therapy. This means we're not just addressing symptoms - we're examining the root systems. Why do you automatically accommodate others at your own expense? Where did you learn that your needs were negotiable? What would it look like to stop seeking permission to take up space in your own life?
I work with women navigating:
Oppressive or controlling relationships (intimate partnerships, family dynamics, workplace hierarchies)
Career transitions and workplace toxicity
The aftermath of religious trauma or spiritual deconstruction
Chronic people-pleasing and boundary dissolution
The realization that "having it all together" has left you completely disconnected from yourself
Grief over time lost to systems and people who demanded your compliance
Who I Work Best With
I'm looking for clients who are ready for transformation, not just validation. You might be a good fit if:
You're tired of therapy that just helps you "manage" oppressive situations
You're willing to examine your own participation in patterns that harm you
You want honest feedback, not just reassurance
You're ready to grieve what you thought your life would be and build what it actually can be
You understand that growth is uncomfortable and you're willing to sit in that discomfort
Who I'm Probably Not For
If you're looking for someone to confirm that everything you're doing is fine and everyone else is the problem, I'm not your therapist. If you want coping strategies to stay in situations that require you to abandon yourself, I'll respectfully decline. If you're seeking a cheerleader rather than a guide who'll challenge you toward growth, we won't work well together.
My Background
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Supervisor (LMFT-S) practicing in Texas. My clinical background includes extensive work with trauma survivors, women navigating oppressive systems, and individuals rebuilding their lives after significant disruption. I've worked in foster care settings, with underserved populations, and with women across the socioeconomic spectrum who share one thing in common: they're done performing and ready to reclaim themselves.
Practical Details
I maintain a private practice and work with clients through several platforms including Alma, Headway, and others. I accept various insurance plans and also work with clients paying out-of-pocket. My approach is direct, warm, and focused on your agency - you're the expert on your life, and my job is to help you see clearly what's been obscured by conditioning, trauma, or systemic oppression.
Sessions are typically weekly, though we adjust based on your needs and what the work requires. I provide thorough documentation when needed (workplace accommodations, disability claims, etc.) and am available for support between sessions when clinically appropriate.
Ready to Start?
If this resonates, reach out. Our first conversation will help us determine if we're a good fit. I'm selective about who I work with because this work requires commitment from both of us, and I want to make sure I can actually help you get where you're trying to go.
You deserve more than just "coping." You deserve a life that feels like yours.
