About me
I focus on offering a safe place for clients to talk that includes encouragement, unconditional positive regard, support, and a judgement-free zone.
Indy Keller is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She has 30 years of prior experience working with children and adolescents in the educational setting as a teacher and counselor, and enjoys working with this sector.
Indy is experienced in working with children, parents, and school personnel to promote emotional wellness and academic progress. She holds certifications in Early Childhood Development, Reading Education, and Trauma Therapy. She focuses on offering a safe place for clients to talk that includes encouragement, unconditional positive regard, support, and a judgement-free zone. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Theory, and is experienced in assisting clients with traumatic experiences.
Working with children individually using Child Centered Play Therapy, Indy allows and assists children in processing and working through life changes, self-esteem issues, anxiety, stress, and behavioral difficulties. In addition to working with children, Indy also works with adolescents and adults. She uses a person-centered approach with her clients and selects therapeutic techniques that best meet the needs of her clients to create an environment that is accepting, growth-oriented, and promotes personal healing.
In her free time, Indy enjoys spending time with her husband, adult children, family, friends, and pets. Church and community are important priorities in her life, and she also makes time for reading, gardening, nature walks, and going on Harley rides.
