About me
Hello! Would you like help in finding your life direction, and bring more joy into your life? Do you want to connect back to what makes you feel happy and fulfilled? Have you experienced the death of a loved one or another type of loss? At times you may not know where to turn or what to do to make things better for yourself. If you could use some support, I'd like to help. Together, we will work to help you create an authentic, empowered and meaningful life.
I help clients with life direction (bring in more joy and meaning), grief and loss, life transitions (some examples can include divorce, empty nest, job changes, retirement, age milestones, dealing with an illness) and women's counseling for empowerment (connect back to yourself, create better self-care and self-compassion, learn to set boundaries, reduce stress and discover unrealized hopes and dreams).
Adults sometimes need another perspective to help them understand and work through life’s challenges. Psychotherapy is all about getting to know yourself better, so that you can make changes that will bring about balance and healing in your life. This is a time for you. I view therapy as a gift that you give to yourself. Even if you do not feel this inside, the statement you make by attending therapy is “I matter”, “I am important” and “I deserve to have and live a life that feels good”. Together we will work to develop a plan to create the life that you desire.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University in 1988. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Pepperdine University in 1986.
Before opening my counseling practice, I spent over a decade providing counseling services and groups to adults, teens and children in various social service agencies. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I am also a Certified Grief Informed Professional.
I believe that we all have the ability to live a fulfilled and balanced life. I help people access their strengths and guide them in making choices to bring about this healing and balance. I have seen such amazing growth and transformation in my clients. It is a privilege to work with them.
