Hi, I’m Holly Young (LCMHC), a licensed therapist based in Asheville, NC. I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to my work. I specialize in supporting adults who are navigating stress, burnout, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, women’s issues, LGBTQ+ concerns, and relational challenges.

My practice is rooted in authenticity, compassion, and a strong social justice lens. I draw from my background in sociology, anthropology, and human rights to understand how cultural and systemic forces shape our mental health. I strive to create a safe, affirming space—especially for those who feel marginalized or unseen—where your story is honored and your growth is supported.

I use a blend of humanistic, strength-based, culturally sensitive, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducational approaches. Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to your needs, focusing on building insight, practical skills, and self-compassion. I want you to leave each session feeling empowered, understood, and equipped to face life’s challenges.

Outside of work, I’m a proud Hufflepuff/Ravenclaw and an Aries-Aquarius cusp who values curiosity, fairness, and kindness. I believe healing begins in spaces where you can be fully yourself, and I’m committed to walking alongside you on your journey.
