About me
I am Dr. Hiza Jackson-Price, a Navy Veteran, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist with over 19 years' experience working with clients with a broad range of concerns, including those who have suffered domestic and/or sexual abuse, other traumatic events, and mood and anxiety disorders. I've provided both individual and group counseling to chemically-dependent persons, as well as families, couples, active-duty military and Veteran populations.
My counseling style is empathic and interactive. I believe the counseling experience is a deeply personal interaction in which the most crucial aspects of this relationship are trust, respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. Counseling is a joint effort that cannot be successful without your hard work, energy, and courage. I practice client-centered, humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and motivational interviewing counseling approaches.
