About me
I am an integrative counselor and draw on elements from Developmental Counseling Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness based approaches. I am a graduate of Troy University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, holding a Master's of Science in Counseling and Psychology and an Educational Specialist Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Auburn University at Montgomery. I am both a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have prior experience providing therapeutic services in community mental health, university counseling center, and inpatient behavioral hospital settings. I am an affirming counselor and have specialized education working with LGBTGEQIAP+ and sexual minority clients such as persons engaged in the BDSM and similar communities.
Client populations and problem focuses I often aid clients with include adults, traditional and nontraditional college students, older adults, LGBTGEQIAP+ persons, men's issues, vocational concerns, gender identity, relationship issues, anxiety, depression and more.
If you’re looking for a space where you can speak openly, feel respected, and be met without judgment, I’m here to help. Together, we can make sense of what you’re going through, build practical tools, and create meaningful, lasting change. When you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to work with you.
