About me

Hello, and welcome. My name is Henry Laboranti, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support. I believe that seeking help is a sign of strength, and my goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I will work alongside you to identify your strengths and develop strategies that help you move toward the life you want. I take a warm, down-to-earth approach and strive to build a genuine therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable being yourself. I look forward to walking with you on your journey toward healing, growth, and positive change.

Experience:
I bring nearly 20 years of experience in education, mental health, and human services, with a career centered on helping people navigate difficult circumstances, meaningful life changes, and the challenges that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Trauma Professional (CTP), I have experience working with adults, adolescents, families, and individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds. My work has included supporting people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and family difficulties, parenting concerns, stress, grief, low self-esteem, major life transitions, and other emotional and behavioral challenges.

My professional experience extends across several settings, including private practice, schools, community-based services, and work with individuals involved in the legal and criminal justice systems. These experiences have taught me that no two people, families, or situations are exactly alike. I believe effective therapy begins with understanding the person behind the problem rather than simply focusing on a diagnosis or a list of symptoms.

My approach is humanistic, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I strive to create a space where clients can speak openly without feeling judged, pressured, or defined by their past. I believe therapy should feel like a genuine conversation with someone who is listening carefully, while also providing practical strategies, honest feedback, and professional guidance when it is needed.

Most importantly, I recognize that reaching out for counseling is not always easy. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. We can start with where you are, identify where you would like things to be different, and work together toward meaningful and realistic change.
