About me
I have over 30 years of experience counsleing ages from 4 to 94. My clients say talking to me is like having milk & cookies with grandma. I am kind, gentle, positive, & easy to talk to & use humor when appropriate. I've been published & am a public local, state and national speaker. I love to motivate people to be their best self. I've worked as an employment specialist, child specialist and a geriatric supervisor and I was a first responder as an EMT in the Dallas area. I have been in charge of children's church & taught nursery, 4 yr. olds, and women's Bible classes as well as been a psych professor at a comunity college. check me out on RULA's website.
I am licensed in WA. & soon to be licensed in AR. What are your strengths, weaknesses & what is your perfect world look like? What do you want to change? Let's find out together. We will laugh together & maybe cry together. I am a safe, kind, gentle, positve, easy to talk to. Once we get to kow each other, I will determine the best therapy tools to help you. Sometimes just having a safe space to talk to someone who cares is all you need! I am trained in systems theory; that is if you change 1 thing in a system you change the whole system. I will be trained in EMDR in the Fall to be able to help with complex PTSD. I love to learn & I take educational classes regularly. I have experience with mood disorders, abuse recovery, stress, trauma, and grief. I have great empathy for men & what our society has expected from them. And according to my client base seem to resonate with 30 something females real well, You can find my calendar on the Rula website. I'm looking forward to meeting you and doing my best to bring healing and peace into your life. Due to a learning disability (dyscalculia) I was a 20 yr H.S. drop out and put myself thru college as a pharmacy technician.
