About me
I’m a licensed therapist with over 30 years of experience, offering evening and weekend telehealth for adults and older adults in WI, MI, MN, IN and IL. I support clients coping with anxiety, grief, depression, and life stress.
About Me
Hi, I’m Heidi A. Erato, LCSW, MSW. I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience providing therapy to adults and older adults. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, chronic illness, caregiving stress, and major life transitions. My practice, Erato Professional Services, LLC, offers telehealth counseling with flexible evening and weekend availability—because I believe getting support should fit into your life, not disrupt it.
My clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward. Some are navigating the loss of a loved one, living with a new or chronic medical diagnosis, managing the demands of caregiving, or carrying the weight of long-held emotional pain. Others are facing difficult transitions—such as retirement, illness, family changes, or the stress that can come with aging. Whatever brings you to therapy, I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can be heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools to cope and heal.
How I Work
My therapy approach is collaborative and personalized. I blend several evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy—to meet your unique needs. That means we may focus on learning new coping strategies, examining thought patterns, exploring past experiences, or all of the above. I’ll offer guidance and structure, but always at a pace that feels manageable to you.
I view therapy as a partnership. You bring your experiences, values, and goals; I bring knowledge, training, and a supportive presence. Together, we’ll work to reduce distress, increase insight, and build resilience. Whether you’re looking for short-term support to get through a difficult period or longer-term work to address deeper issues, I’ll meet you where you are.
What to Expect
In our first session, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you hope to change or explore, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. I’ll ask some questions to get to know you better and help shape our direction. Over time, we’ll work together to create meaningful goals and check in on your progress. You’ll always have a say in how we move forward.
I also understand that therapy isn’t always easy. Talking about painful experiences or difficult emotions can feel intimidating. That’s why I work hard to make my virtual office feel like a welcoming, grounded space—somewhere you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure.
About My Practice
Erato Professional Services, LLC is a solo practice dedicated to accessible, flexible mental health care. All sessions are conducted virtually via secure video, offering convenience, privacy, and continuity of care—especially for those who may have transportation issues, caregiving responsibilities, or health limitations.
I currently serve clients in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana and Illinois. I work with clients through Headway, which handles scheduling, insurance verification, and billing. This allows you to focus on the therapeutic work, not the paperwork. Michigan Medicaid FFS is now accepted. Private pay is available. Medicare and additional Medicaid coverage are forthcoming. Who I Help
I primarily work with:
Adults and older adults (typically 25+ through senior years)
Caregivers and family members of those facing illness or decline
Clients living with chronic medical conditions
People facing grief, loss, or end-of-life concerns
Individuals dealing with life transitions, burnout, or emotional fatigue
Clients with long-standing anxiety, sadness, or trauma they’re ready to address
My Commitment to You
I believe deeply in the human capacity to adapt, grow, and heal—even in the face of loss, fear, or uncertainty. I also believe that therapy should be practical, respectful, and rooted in your real life—not just theory or worksheets.
If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or worn down, I invite you to reach out. You don’t have to go through this alone. Therapy is an investment in your well-being—and I’d be honored to walk with you through the process.
