Heather Hanson, MA, LPCC

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with 20+ years of experience in the mental health field specializing in trauma, brain-body connection, releasing stress/trauma/emotion from the body, relationship struggles, ministry burnout and finding natural strengths to build from.

​I have the daily honor of walking with people through their unique experiences of trauma, relationship pain, loss, heartbreak and feeling stuck. Many of my clients describe often feeling unheard, unknown, unseen, and unloved in their lives, and my hope and prayer is to offer a different experience in those areas so they no longer feel alone. My own story and professional training have led me to understand how abuse and trauma impact every part of us: physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and relationally. It can lead us to feeling hopeless that things can be better, believing there is no healing or redemption story for us. I'm here to tell you, there is hope, and there can be healing.

What I Offer:
- Christian Counseling for Adults Who Have Experienced Trauma, Grief, Abuse (all types) through use of Brainspotting, EMDR, Psychoeducation, Focused Solutions and Relational Tools.
- Counseling designed for body release work due to trauma, stress and emotional overload
- Counseling geared toward ministry leaders for a) personal issues they want to work through, b) processing the difficult aspects of working in ministry, c) working through residual struggles from past ministry roles that might still be impacting them
