About me
Oh the healing power of therapy! I feel passionate that everyone has a unique life story, and that some of life's chapters deserve a closer look to bring about improved coping, healing, and positive change. My approach is eclectic and trauma informed. I draw upon reality theory and the study of behaviors and neurocognitive development. I use CBT, mindfulness, and other practices as appropriate. The goals of therapy and the techniques used are based on each client's individual needs. I am proud to be working with community agencies, corrections and families for over 15 years.
I have experience with At-risk families involved with the child welfare system, Severely Emotionally Disturbed, Inmate rehabilitation, Anger issues, clients with traumatic brain injuries and support persons, clients adjusting to significant changes in functional status due to illness, injury, aging, geriatric mental health and childcare mental health consultation.
I have special training in Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Work, Grief and Loss Therapy, Traumatic Brian Injury, Health and Rehabilitation, Inmate Rehabilitation, Geriatric Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Anger Management
