About me
I am a therapist specializing in supporting women, children, teens, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, acute stress, and major transitions. Drawing on over a decade of experience as an educator in Romania and the U.S., alongside my personal journey as an immigrant and parent, I use evidenced- based trauma strategies and a strengths-based approach to help clients manage dysregulation, chronic stress, and life's challenges by building practical coping skills and inner strength.
In my practice, I use a person-centered approach, intentionally focusing on my clients' strengths and building on this foundation by tailoring clinically proven, gentle interventions to the unique developmental needs of each individual.
For children and teenagers, I use TF-CBT to safely and gradually process traumatic experiences at their own pace—incorporating psychoeducation, relaxation, emotional regulation tools, and cognitive reframing to challenge unhelpful thoughts. I also focus on practical DBT skills to equip youth with tangible emotional regulation and distress tolerance techniques.
For adults, I incorporate ACT and CBT strategies to help identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while cultivating deep self-compassion. Additionally, I draw on solution-focused (SFBT) strategies when they require a clear, actionable path forward.
Grounded in this strengths-based framework, I integrate mindfulness and sensory grounding techniques to soothe the nervous system in real-time. My clinical priority is to provide a structured yet deeply compassionate environment where clients of all ages can reduce distress and achieve sustainable balance.
