About me
I look forward to walking beside you on your journey to build a life worth living
Have you ever thought, "I can't live like this anymore" or told yourself, "The pain is too much to handle"? Do you act on impulsive urges and think, "Why can't I just stop?" Maybe you notice yourself repeating painful relationship patterns and want to stop the cycle. Or maybe you are suffering and feel stuck, plagued by your past and fearful of your future. I believe that humans have amazing resilience and that we all have the potential to cope effectively, grow, and heal. By balancing acceptance and change, I can help you develop self-compassion while achieving your goals and building a life worth living.
I have over 10 years experience working with teens and families to address emotion dysregulation, impulsivity, interpersonal conflict, and substance abuse. Although I'm qualified to treat individuals across the lifespan, I specialize in treating teens and young adults, ages 12-25. I am passionate about DBT, and also utilize CBT, ACT, and MI techniques.
As a teen, I saw countless therapists and often felt judged and misunderstood. I know how important it is to find someone who gets you and how uncomfortable it can be to open up to someone new. I value your story because you are the expert on yourself. I look forward to walking beside you as you start this journey to building a more effective life!
