About me

I help couples reduce conflict, improve communication, and rebuild trust, safety, and intimacy—and I help women overcome limiting beliefs to increase confidence and self-worth.

Hello! My name is pronounced "gaw-mah." I can honestly tell you that I am married to my best friend, because we put in the work daily. This year makes us 24 years married, with three precious daughters! We are quickly becoming "empty nesters" and that's an adjustment for us!!

As a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I have worked with couples and women for over 10 years---specializing in trauma resolution therapy (EMDR) and attachment styles. My license equips me to work with individuals, couples, and the entire family system. I truly love what I do! Helping couples enjoy marriage, and supporting women in rebuilding their confidence and self-worth, brings me great joy!

Many of my clients come to therapy with heartfelt desires such as:
• “I want to heal from trauma and feel better about myself.”
• “I want to learn how to stop the negative thoughts from controlling my life.”
• “I want to learn how to set healthy boundaries for myself.”
• “I want to communicate my feelings and be heard.”
• “I’m struggling with friendships and I need help.”
• “I want to overcome resentment and anger.” OR
• “I want to feel like I matter to my husband/wife.”
• “We need to learn how to communicate and build trust in our marriage.”
• “We want to work on our intimacy.”
• “We love each other, but we can’t agree on having children- we need help.”

If any of these resonate with you, you are not alone.

Doing this work has taught me four things:
1. People remain “needy” until their needs are met.
2. It’s very important to identify our wounds and work on them.
3. Trust and safety are the foundation of a healthy marriage or relationship.
4. Boundary-setting is an act of self-respect.

I combine the theories of psychology with the wisdom of scripture, offering therapy that is both practical and faith informed. With compassion and empathy, I create a safe space for my clients to heal and grow.

What You Can Expect
• Couples leave therapy with stronger communication, deeper intimacy, and the confidence to enjoy their marriage without fear of divorce.
• Women leave feeling empowered--- ready to take on life with clarity and confidence.
