About me

I'm a somatically trained trauma and addictions therapist. I specialize in "process" addictions such as sex, pornography, love, and technology.

Are you struggling with pornography, or out-of-control sexual behaviors? Is it impacting your relationships, including the one you have with yourself? Know that recovery is possible. You do not have to endure this alone. It is my hope that, by facing your compulsivity, you can increase your resilience, reduce your anxiety, and rediscover whom you really are. To help you achieve this and other positive outcomes, I tap into my extensive training as a somatic therapist and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) Candidate, as well as my own transformational experiences in therapy. This may sound daunting – we will go at your pace.

I take a holistic approach and gently guide clients to resources that complement therapy. I may invite you to read books, watch videos, and complete activities that support and advance the work we do in session.

I have had success with clients who had plentiful experience in therapy without achieving their goals. Whether or not you wish to work with me, I highly encourage you to try somatic therapy if you have the opportunity.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in professional sports and as a corporate executive. While studying attachment theory, I volunteered as a caregiver to Cambodian children in Thailand. I continue to support the school, visiting multiple times per year.

I am certified in Brainspotting (similar to EMDR) and trained in somatic experiential therapy (SomEx), recovery coaching, and Trauma Informed Care. I combine attachment theory with emotional regulation theory and take an experiential approach, for I believe that we learn through experience, rather than from being told what to do.

Your mind wants to heal. Just as your body will heal from physical cuts/ailments when given the right conditions, so will your mind. I aspire to co-create with you an environment of acceptance, non-judgment, and compassion.
