About me
I have assisted countless individuals and couples, in over 40 years of practice, to rapidly get to the core of personal problems that have kept them from living up to their full potential. I specialize in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (IS-TDP).
I have trained directly with Habib Davanloo, M.D., the innovator of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, a powerful and effective form of psychodynamic treatment. My therapy approach is geared
towards helping clients, in a sensitive and empowering manner, to quickly identify the different mechanisms they have destructively used to avoid being in touch with their true feelings and themselves. I work actively and collaboratively with my clients, who may enter therapy for a variety of distressing symptoms, such as anxiety/panic, depression, compulsive behavior, underachieving in their work, etc., but most have an underlying conflict with intimacy, closeness, and emotional commitment in their personal relationships. I have worked with a number of very creative individuals, who have sacrificed their personal happiness for their careers, erroneously believing that their creativity will be compromised if they give up their "neurotic" edge
