About me
I’m not here to tell you what you want to hear. I’m here to help you understand what you need to hear.
I believe therapy should be real, honest, compassionate, and sometimes uncomfortable. I don’t sugarcoat difficult topics or offer false promises. Instead, I work with you to understand what is happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical skills to help you move forward.
As a veteran and experienced clinician, I have worked with adolescents and teens, individuals, couples, and families, including LGBTQ+ individuals, people living with HIV/AIDS, those involved in the forensic system, and individuals transitioning back into the community following incarceration. My clinical experience includes mood, anxiety, personality, trauma-related, behavioral, and relationship concerns.
I don’t believe you are broken or need to be “fixed.” Therapy is about gaining insight, building skills, and learning to respond differently to life’s challenges. I cannot promise that life will become easy, but I can help you become better equipped to handle difficult situations, set boundaries, make confident decisions, and create meaningful change.
If you want a therapist who will listen without judgment, challenge you when needed, and be honest with you—even when the conversation is difficult—we may be a good fit.
You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just have to be willing to start.
