About me
I have over 18 years of experience working with people who suffer from issues of adjustment, anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, psychosis, couple and family issues. I seek the best results for my clients and work to get them back on track and ready to face the world again.
Frank Glenn IV, MA, LMHC has a Master of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science from the Leadership Institute of Seattle at Bastyr University. As part of his degree, he completed a clinical internship at Willapa Counseling Center, where he had the opportunity to work with a wide range of individuals, couples, and groups. Frank's Bachelor of Science degree is from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
For most of Frank's life, he has lived and worked in Pacific County, Washington. Frank began work as a Mental Health Therapist in 2005. In 2007, he became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. He also served as an on-call Crisis Worker and Designated Mental Health Professional. Most recently, Frank served as Clinical Services Manager, supervising Mental Health Therapists, Graduate Student Interns and Case Managers at Willapa Behavioral Health. Frank is pleased to now able to offer mental health therapy to clients at his private practice, OWL Counseling.
Frank's office at OWL Counseling is located in Long Beach, Washington at 115 Oregon Ave S. Current office hours are Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with later hours by special arrangement. He is available for both in-person and telehealth sessions.
My therapeutic orientation is largely systemic and looks at the system that is you, and systems you are a part of, such as family, culture, country and beyond. Also, I work with subsystems inside of you, by exploring the relationships between thoughts, feelings, behaviors, passions, interests, regrets, fears and sorrows that make up the person you are. I believe that everyone has a Self energy that by its nature is calm, connected, curious, compassionate, courageous and creative. It takes getting to know the various parts of you, in order to heal and help those parts, thereby allowing more Self energy to emerge. When people are in Self, they have access to the courageousness, acceptance and peace that people so desire. When people are not in Self they get embroiled in patterns of craving approval, control, and security. A strong focus on getting one or all three of those things is often not successful and can unwittingly produce more anxiety, stress and depression.
I use a Person-Centered approach, wholly focusing on you the client in the moment, bringing my training and my own best self forward to help you overcome the suffering that brings you to the office. I provide a compassionate, centered space in which to experience learning and growing in ways that are fulfilling personally, emotionally, and spiritually.
