About me
I believe therapy begins with feeling heard, and accepted without judgment. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I provide a compassionate space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life challenges at their own pace. My goal is to help you develop practical tools, strengthen emotional regulation, build confidence, improve relationships, and create meaningful change.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism-related challenges, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation, and life transitions. My approach is individualized and trauma-informed, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, play therapy, mindfulness, grounding techniques, and solution-focused strategies.
Hi, I’m Flor Farinas, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and founder of Beautiful Mind Counseling. I believe that therapy should feel like a safe place where you can be honest about what you’re going through without feeling judged. Reaching out for support can be difficult, and I want my clients to know that they don’t have to have everything figured out before they begin.
My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I take time to understand each person’s story and what they hope to change, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families who may be going through a difficult season, struggling with their emotions, experiencing relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck and wanting something to change.
In therapy, we will work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I use evidence-based approaches while making therapy practical and personal to your needs. My hope is that you leave therapy feeling more understood, more confident in yourself, and better equipped to handle the challenges that come your way.
You don’t have to go through it alone. Sometimes, taking the first step is simply having a conversation, and I’d be happy to support you through that process.
