Felipe GUZMAN, LPCC

I am a Mental/Emotional/Behavioral Therapist with 30 years experience. I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults and couples. My areas of expertise are as a Parent Coordinator and Forensic Psychological Evaluator for the court system, Director of an In-Patient Out-Patient Substance Abuse Clinic, Drug Counselor for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Child Therapist and Educational Diagnostician in a Public School System. I have been in private practice for the past 18 years helping clients overcome fears, anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, anger, self-deprecation, addiction, and various issues that plague many humanity.

As an adolescent I learned guitar and up to this day have played professionally in many countries. Prior to becoming a mental health professional I served four years in the USMC as a Jet Mechanic and one year working for NASA. I began my college studies at the age of 38 and have my Bachelor’s in Psychology and my Masters in Counseling and Educational Psychology. I say this to say that I have much diverse life experience before becoming a Mental Health Professional. I employ a philosophical approach to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Magic Therapy, Music Therapy, Reality and Emotive Therapy.
