About me
I am licensed in Tennessee and New York. I have been working as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 13 years. I have dedicated myself to assisting individuals, couples, and families on their journeys of healing and personal growth.
I have experience collaborating with clients on various issues, including marital/couple conflicts, infidelity, divorce, family problems, anxiety, trauma, and grief (related to human and animal losses). I aim to empower individuals to embrace change by providing them with valuable insights and understanding of their challenges. I work with clients to develop customized treatment plans that effectively address their unique needs.
My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness practices, Attachment Theory, and communication-enhancing techniques like "I" statements. This integrative method helps individuals identify and restructure unhelpful thought patterns, stay present in the moment, understand the impact of early attachment experiences, and express their feelings effectively. Together, these strategies support personal growth and improve mental well-being.
On the first session, I look to make clients feel comfortable by building a rapport to help them feel more at ease about sharing their stories. Most clients have reported feeling better after speaking about things they have been storing for some time.
