About me
"Compassionate counseling for life’s challenges, with a special focus on breast cancer survivors and emotional healing.”
Hello and welcome! I am Felicia S Peterson, Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges, heal from emotional wounds, and move toward the life they want to live. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs, because no two journeys are the same.
I work with children, teens, and adults facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. I also have a deep passion for supporting breast cancer survivors, helping them process the emotional and relational impacts of diagnosis, treatment, and life after survivorship. I believe survivors deserve a compassionate space to honor their experiences, navigate change, and reclaim joy.
In our sessions, I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Strategies, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My style is supportive yet practical. We’ll work together to uncover the roots of your struggles, identify your strengths, and develop tools you can use beyond therapy.
You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you are respected and understood. I see therapy as a partnership: you bring your lived experiences, and I bring strategies, perspective, and encouragement. Together, we can address both immediate concerns and long-term growth.
Whether you’re a child learning to manage big emotions, a teen navigating school and identity, an adult facing a major life change, or a survivor adjusting to a “new normal,” my goal is to help you feel empowered, understood, and hopeful about the future.
If you’re ready to take that first step, I would be honored to walk with you on your journey.
