I am Farnaz Safaei, a licensed marriage and family therapist and the owner of Novara Counseling based out of San Diego. I specialize in providing therapy services for individuals as well as couples and families that are looking to gain insight, heal their relationships, and make changes.
For individuals I offer therapy services to adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional turmoil, and life transitions. The therapies I use include Psychodynamic therapy and Attachment-Based therapy along with CBT and DBT.
In my couples therapy sessions and marriage counseling sessions, I use the Gottman Method for helping couples learn communication skills, conflict management skills, trust building, and increase their emotional and physical intimacy. I also assist couples who have issues related to infidelity, affairs, fights, emotional detachment, premarital issues, and changes in the relationship.
I am empathic and compassionate while also providing practical advice and tools for you to use.
