About me
As a highly experienced healthcare professional with over 19 years of nursing practice, my career has been dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care across various settings and populations. With a Master’s in Health Science with a concentration in Family-Based Medicine, complemented by my recent Post-Master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have developed a robust understanding of family primary care medicine, from pediatrics to adult gerontology, mental health, and in-home care. My clinical focus is driven by a desire to promote holistic health and wellness, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care in every stage of life.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses, family and mental health care management with prescription authority under state of Florida practice guidelines. The ability to make balanced clinical assessments and exercise sound judgment under pressure has been key to my success in managing both physical and mental health conditions.
With recent experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have expanded my skills to behavioral health, integrating psychopharmacology and evidence-based treatments for mental health conditions. My commitment to an integrated behavioral health model allows me to collaborate effectively with primary care providers, psychiatrists, mental health specialists, and administrative staff, ensuring patients receive well-rounded, interdisciplinary care. I pride myself on my ability to build rapport with patients and use excellent communication skills to foster trust and effective care management.
As I continue to grow in my career, my passion lies in combining my extensive experience in family and psychiatric care to deliver patient-centered, holistic healthcare. I look forward to applying my diverse skill set in leadership, clinical expertise, and risk management to a collaborative environment where I can contribute to improving the health and well-being of diverse patient populations.
I am excited for the opportunity to further expand my impact as a healthcare provider, continuing to serve and advocate for patients across the lifespan in the realms of primary care, mental health, and tele-health services.
