About me

I work well with a client who appreciates an East meets West approach. People want an experience of healing, not just an explanation; mindfulness techniques, challenging unhelpful thinking, and somatic techniques like brainspotting can create powerful healing for you.

While creating a safe space, holding you with empathy and positivity, we will unpack unhelpful thinking, which can create anxiety and depression and then learn emotional self-regulation techniques to help ground you. This early process often involves just feeling heard and safe, finding new insight around experiences that influenced your self-beliefs and cycles of pain. We will also work toward creating a new cycle of peace based on seeing and considering self-regulating emotional truths based on your values. Healing can occur in recognizing the difference in where one actively has agency, and also in identifying where it may be necessary to let go. In the middle stages of therapy, we can also explore deeper issues that may be connected to your body. I am trained in Brainspotting, along with more advanced mindfulness techniques, which can unravel deep stress in the body and bring healing. I am a systems thinker and believe in the power of relationships, seeing where you exist inside the system of your family, relationship, marriage, workplace, or community. My own journey of looking deeply to gain insight is how I became a therapist: healing layers of my own anxiety, stress, and grief, gaining courage and taking responsibility for change with challenging co-parenting, work stresses, divorce, relationship loss, loneliness, discovering relationship health, and a sense of healing and resurrection. We will build on your strengths, clarify your goals for change, and only take action when you are ready. I am excited to meet you, define your goals, and then ask: what would it look like and feel like if we were to arrive at your goals together.
