About me
I am an empathetic, compassionate listener who will help you draw on the skills and strengths that you already have to help you navigate the challenges and concerns you are wanting to address. I will also bring my experience and expertise as a professional counselor to provide guidance and to further equip you to address life’s difficulties. I count it an honor to be invited into another’s life journey, and will take seriously the trust you place in me to partner with you.
I am especially passionate about partnering with those who are navigating grief, perinatal challenges, trauma, parenting and relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, and anxiety. My passions are shaped by my lived experiences and additional trainings completed.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment therapy, and EMDR as I walk alongside my clients towards the healing and wholeness. As a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist as well as being certified in MommaCare for pregnancy and infant loss, I draw on my training to help my clients navigate pain that feels especially overwhelming. I have degrees in Early Child Education (Clark College), Social and Behavioral Studies (George Fox University), and Counseling (Multnomah University). My education journey and the training I received during it continues to be an additional resource as I partner with my clients to pursue the life change they are desiring.
For clients who so desire, I can incorporate a Christian faith perspective into our counseling journey.
I am a wife and a mom. I enjoy spending time outdoors going for a walk or working in the yard, reading, listening to podcasts, and especially love spending time with my family and friends. My family enjoys watching baking shows together and trying to bake our own treats at home, playing together, and following the Portland Trailblazers. I am also active in my faith community, partnering with it to better serve the greater community we are planted in.
