About me
I am an experienced therapist and behavioral health leader dedicated to helping children, adolescents and their families cope with difficult emotions and behaviors. I also have a passion for women's issues, including stress management and trauma and abuse recovery.
Sometimes life hands us more than we can deal with on our own. Responses to difficult life experiences, stress, and traumatic events can show up differently in all of us. Whether it be emotional or behavioral concerns in your teen or adolescent, or stress, burnout and relationship issues in adulthood, together we will explore the challenges faced and identify a path forward. By supporting clients in understanding their reactions and building skills and confidence in their ability to cope with difficult circumstances and emotions, living a fulfilled life and reaching your full potential is possible.
For children and adolescents, therapeutic work includes both youth and adult caregivers and the use of evidence-based approaches to identify alternate coping strategies and build internal resilience. For women's issues, we will focus on understanding causes of stress, exploring trauma and relational issues to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life.
There are seasons in all of our lives when the challenges we face feel overwhelming, and trying to avoid painful emotions often backfires, negatively affecting our functioning, behaviors, relationships, and overall wellness. I'm ready to walk through those challenges together and help you or your child learn how to deal with those emotions in a healthy way.
