About me
Erika Williams-Walker is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia and has been working in the behavioral health field for over 18 years. She obtained by her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. The majority of her counseling experience is working with women who have experienced addiction, homelessness, depression, relationship issues, parenting issues, codependency, childhood sexual and emotional trauma. Erika has worked for local government, nonprofit organizations and in hospital settings.
Her therapeutic style is welcoming, honest and concerned and she understands the importance of assuring client's are comfortable in sharing their experiences and struggles. The typical approach is from a cognitive behavioral standpoint while understanding every client isn't the same and tailoring her approach to meet the needs of the client. Erika is a mental health advocate and believes 'there is no health without mental health'. She welcomes the opportunity to encourage and support anyone who is brave enough to embark on a personal journey to improving their circumstances.
