About me
I am licensed Psychotherapist in Georgia with over 16 years of professional work experience working with young adults, individuals, couples by helping clients manage stress and anxiety, relationship and sexuality processing, motivation, self-esteem and confidence issues, trauma recovery, and recovering from depression.
I am certified and trained in DBT, CBT, and Trauma-Focused Therapy to assist clients in navigating stressors, learning effective distress tolerance skills, communication skills, and strategies for developing healthy social and interpersonal relationships. Additionally, I am certified as a Sex Therapy and Infidelity Repair Specialist where I work with couples to strengthen communication patterns, navigate trust/fidelity concerns, and repair intimacy and sexual connections. I view therapy as a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to provide guidance, curiosity, and clinical expertise as we move toward healing, growth, and greater self-understanding in an autonomous way you choose. There is no pressure to share everything right away. My priority is creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and understood, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Strengths
It is my belief that my strengths as a counselor are my ability to approach the therapeutic process and trauma healing with compassion, patience, and respect for each client’s unique story and pace. Trauma can impact not only thoughts and emotions but also relationships, identity, and the nervous system’s sense of safety. My work integrates trauma-informed care, interpersonal psychodynamic understanding, somatic awareness, and mindfulness practices to support healing on multiple levels. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we explore how past experiences may continue to influence present patterns, emotional responses, and ways of relating to yourself and others.
Together, we work to:
* Increase emotional safety and stabilization
* Build awareness of triggers and nervous system responses
* Strengthen coping and grounding skills
* Process unresolved experiences gently and collaboratively
* Restore a sense of empowerment, connection, and self-trust
Ideal clients
You Might Benefit From Working With Me If…
* Feel overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, or emotional exhaustion
* Notice patterns in relationships that you would like to understand or change
* Carry the impact of past experiences or unresolved trauma
* Struggle with boundaries, self-worth, or people-pleasing tendencies
* Feel disconnected from yourself, your body, or your emotions
* Experience difficulty regulating emotions or managing triggers
* Want deeper self-understanding rather than just surface-level coping strategies
* Are navigating life transitions, identity changes, or personal growth
* Desire a therapy space that is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed I work best with individuals who are open to self-exploration, and in our work together, I focus on understanding the whole person — including emotional experiences, relationship patterns, past influences, and the ways stress and trauma may live in both the mind and body. I integrate insight-oriented conversation with practical tools that support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and lasting change.
Treatment methods -
Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma-Informed & Interpersonal Psychodynamic Therapy: I utilize a trauma-informed approach integrated with interpersonal psychodynamic therapy to help clients explore how past experiences, relationships, and unresolved trauma influence present emotions, behaviors, and patterns. Together, we work to increase insight, strengthen self-understanding, and develop healthier ways of relating to oneself and others. Therapy provides a safe, collaborative space where clients can process difficult experiences, build emotional resilience, and foster lasting change.
Somatic
I incorporate a somatic-informed approach to support clients in understanding how stress, emotions, and life experiences are stored within the body. By gently integrating body-based practices such as breathwork, grounding exercises, and mindful movement, clients develop greater nervous system regulation, release physical tension, and reconnect with a sense of safety and embodiment. This approach helps bridge the connection between mind and body in the healing process.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I integrate mindfulness-based practices to help clients cultivate awareness of their distress tolerance window, thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences in the present moment. Through grounding exercises, breath awareness, and intentional attention practices, mindfulness supports emotional regulation, reduces stress, and enhances the ability to respond to challenges with clarity, compassion, and calm.
