About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker and assistant professor who helps individuals heal, grow, and build more fulfilling lives by understanding how their past, their relationships, and their work shape who they are today.
I believe every individual carries inherent worth and a real capacity to grow, and my role is to walk alongside you as a steady, compassionate guide while you do that work. I bring close to two decades of experience at the intersection of mental health and the larger systems that shape our lives. Alongside my clinical training as a licensed social worker, I spent years in organizational and human resources work inside large institutions, and I currently serve as a professor of social work. That combination allows me to see you as a whole person living within real relationships, workplaces, and communities.
I take a lifespan approach to therapy, honoring the reality that experiences from earlier in life continue to influence how we relate to ourselves, how we connect with others, and how we find meaning in our work and relationships today. Understanding those threads with compassion often opens the door to lasting change. I support individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, burnout, and the search for greater balance and purpose.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in proven methods, which I adapt to your values, culture, and lived experience rather than applying a one-size-fits-all formula. I draw on approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness, all within a trauma-informed lens. Above all, I want our work to feel safe and genuinely supportive, so that you leave it feeling more grounded, more capable, and more fully yourself.
