About me
Hello, My name is Eric and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist MFT # 134250 in the State of California.
I work with individuals and couples in a variety of areas and concerns regarding personal and relational mental health and well being.
I use a variety of approaches in my work with clients including attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, mindfulness, Image Transformation Therapy as well as other trauma-informed treatments. I enjoy working with a variety of clients including, teens, young adults, individuals, couples which includes premarital and marriage counseling, as well as families.
When your past intrudes on your present, future or your plans and dreams... I can help. Past relationships, the family dynamics of how you grew up as well as incidents of trauma, depression and other elements can often interfere or even block your ability to move forward in relationships and life - I can help.
Everybody has a story. Being able to relay that story and feel heard while feeling safe is important to everyone and to our emotional health. I believe healing happens best in relationship with others and see it as a privilege to walk together with clients in their many seasons of life, especially the difficult ones. Although therapy can often include challenging and painful experiences, I try to leave room for humor and celebration in the midst of it. My focus is to collaborate with clients, not just to reduce painful or uncomfortable symptoms, but to renew, revitalize and to find a more fulfilling way of living life!
Having been born, raised and lived in the Bay Area most of my life, I enjoy the diversity of opportunities available to us in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have served in pastoral ministry for many years throughout the East Bay Area and graduated from Western Seminary Milpitas with a Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelors of Science in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University in San Jose. I see clients in our Downtown Livermore Office (See link below for directions) and I am also available for Telehealth and Video sessions when appropriate.
