About me
I'm a licensed clinician dedicated to helping clients cultivate stronger relationships and live authentically.
As a licensed clinician, my passion is guiding individuals toward stronger relationships and their truest selves. I believe that many of our emotional experiences—like depression, anxiety, loneliness, or anger—arise when our expectations of ourselves and others go unmet. My approach focuses on understanding these unmet expectations and the behaviors they drive.
I use a systemic approach rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) principles. This means we'll explore how different "hats" you wear—as a parent, child, sibling, spouse, or employee—influence your relationships and well-being. I'm dedicated to supporting your physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs, helping you achieve a holistic sense of balance.
I work with individuals ages 13 and up, couples (dating, engaged, and married), families, divorcing couples, and military families. Clients often seek my support for challenges such as communication and conflict resolution issues (both with others and within themselves), negative self-talk, life transitions, blended family dynamics, self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, and trauma.
When you work with me, you can expect a collaborative virtual journey where your authenticity is welcomed. Each 60-minute session provides a space for validation, coaching, and supportive feedback aimed at improving your overall quality of relationships and life. We'll engage in goal-focused discussions and interventions, which may include practical "homework" to support your progress between sessions.
What sets me apart? I'm not just a clinician; I'm also a fellow traveler on the therapeutic path, having experienced counseling from both sides. With nearly two decades of marriage, I understand the inherent ups and downs of long-term relationships firsthand. My experience as a caregiver for special needs children deepens my expertise in supporting individuals and families within the special needs community. As a U.S. Army veteran, I bring both professional insight and personal understanding to the unique challenges faced by military-connected individuals and families.
