About me
Stories. Everyone has one. Is your story what you desire or where you want it to be, right now? According to Pre-Covid cutting-edge research for 1 in 5 people, almost 20% of our population in the United States, the answer to that question, is likely, no.
I'm getting ahead of myself. First let me introduce myself. My name is Eric Danielson and I am so happy you made this decision.
It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey. Asking for help is often the hardest and sometimes the most pivotal step in counseling.
Thank you for your trust in inviting me into the comfort of your home.
Over the last 25+ years I've worn many hats that have given me a vast amount of life experience as l've had the opportunity to hear a lot of different stories.
Even though I graduated summa cum laude with my BSW and with honors in my MSW program, I use my clients as the subject matter experts in their lives, and I have been privileged and honored to walk alongside of many people on their journey to increased freedom. What I have learned from each of these precious stories is priceless.
This, along with my military career as a retired Army Flight Medical NCO and as a Counseling / Training and Development Professional before I became a therapist, has greatly influenced my collaborative approach in how I assess, diagnose and treat people.
My approach is evidenced based and unique. I will walk alongside of you in this journey and work with you as the subject matter expert of your life in order to inspire hope, discover barriers, address areas of avoidance and foster motivation to facilitate needed changes. I am truly interested in helping you find immediate wins that can motivate you to greater levels of empowerment while experiencing your desired change in each session. I will endeavor to teach you to experience the life you and your loved ones were destined to live.
If you desire an open safe judgement free zone in which to work with challenges with the stress response (a.k.a. "fight, flor freeze"), complex injury and illness, anxiety, fear, depression, grief, loss, shame, anger, trauma, moral injury, or challenges with biblical spirituality; I look forward to working with you. Please know that any thoughts or feelings can be shared without fear of any judgement. Equally, where desired, I offer Biblical faith based integration into your treatment.
