About me
I specialize in helping you understand how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviors. My approach is primarily cognitive-behavioral and strengths-based, with a strong emphasis on mindfulness. I will work with you to develop healthy coping strategies and self-regulation skills to strengthen your ability to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
I work with clients ranging from adolescence to older adulthood, supporting you through life transitions and challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, and ADHD. I strive to create a comfortable and laid-back atmosphere where you can feel safe to be yourself. My goal as a therapist is to meet you exactly where you are and walk alongside you at a pace that feels right for you.
Hi, I’m Emily Jalajas, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University and have experience building meaningful relationships with individuals from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My therapeutic work focuses on concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation, and I especially enjoy supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate important life transitions. Outside of my work, I enjoy CrossFit, traveling, spending time outdoors, and being with my dog.
