About me

I have worked with individuals of all ages, stages, and experiences of the world. I especially feel equipped to work with people with substance use and chronic mental illnesses. My work includes working with people with severe depression and anxiety along with bipolar disorders. Overall, I support people with understanding their emotions and how to communicate them to others.

I have been working in the mental health field for over 13 years in various roles. I have worked with individuals of all ages, stages, and experiences of the world. I especially feel equipped to work with people with substance use and chronic illnesses. Life is tough and feeling heard is tougher. My job is to support someone in reaching their goals. I enjoy working with people who would like to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to their perceptions along with past and current experiences. I focus my work on building a therapeutic relationship to support someone to work towards their goals.
I have been trained by Bradley Hospital in treatment for OCD for children. I have also worked with the Bureau of Substance and Addiction Services on support clinicians and supervisors in the treatment of addiction. I have also worked and have lived experience with working with people with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
In my experience, therapy can be scary and intimidating. My job is to support people in building courage and strength to support people in reaching their goals. A goal could be finding ways to make it easier to talk with people or to cut back on substance. Whatever brings a person in a conversation with me is full of compassion, and understanding.
