About me
I guide clients in cultivating healing, growth and alignment with their true selves. I am a Certified EMDR therapist and I’m well trained in Internal Family Systems as well as trained in other modalities such as Brainspotting. I have been in private practice in Anderson since 2014.
We all need assistance at different times in our lives to navigate through challenging opportunities. As a therapist I am an advocate for healing, growth and a more authentic life. I work with adults who are dealing with loss, anxiety, depression, anger management, identity issues, trauma and those wanting a deeper more fulfilling life.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EMDR, is a powerful, research-based therapy technique that is very successful in helping people who suffer from trauma, anxiety, disturbing memories, post-traumatic stress and similar emotional problems. I am certified in EMDR and I use other modalities to work with adults.
I view the healing process from a holistic perspective. I see the therapist as a guide that explores with the client their innate healing capacities. The therapist is available to facilitate and help activate the inner healer. The modalities I use include EMDR, Mindfulness, somatic awareness, Internal Family Systems and psychodynamic talk therapy.
I received my Masters in Social Work from Smith College, School for Social Work. I bring my training as an RYT-200 certified yoga teacher to my practice. In addition, I'm a Reiki Master and Ama-Deus practitioner.
