Hello, I'm Elizabeth! After 23 years working in the public sector as a high school counselor and, more recently, a Marriage and Family Therapist, I am opening Woodsong Therapy - a place where I can offer the in-depth, personalized, client-centered care people deserve.

I believe meaningful change is possible through authentic connection in an emotionally safe, compassionate, and curious space. A strong therapeutic relationship builds the trust needed to explore the parts of ourselves we often hide - parts shaped by difficult experiences, relationships, and wounds that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, ashamed, or stuck.

I love working with teens, adults, and couples, and I am committed to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care grounded in cultural humility. My work integrates several evidence-based and experiential approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and somatic and mindfulness-based practices. Together, we can use these approaches to process difficult experiences, understand and transform patterns that no longer serve you, cultivate self-compassion, reduce distress, and build stronger relationships.

I'm genuine, compassionate, and approachable, and my goal is to create a space where you feel deeply understood, accepted, and comfortable being yourself. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, so we'll work together to develop an approach that feels right for you. We'll explore your emotions, relationships, and life experiences with curiosity and compassion, helping you deepen your understanding of yourself, strengthen your connections with others, and move toward lasting emotional well-being.
