About me

Are you looking for a warm and sensible therapist to help you, your child, or your family?

Are you feeling anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed? Does your family life involve too much arguing and too little fun? Are you worried because your child seems stressed or lonely? There are so many therapists out there; it's hard to figure out who will be right for you. You need someone who will not only understand but also help you move forward in ways that matter to you.

I work with adults, children, and families, in my Princeton, NJ practice, helping them cope with stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship problems, and adjustment to life transitions. My approach is gentle and practical, drawing from research drawing from research plus grounded by my work with hundreds of families and my life as a mom of four.

I'm an author of many traditionally published books about parenting and children's feelings and friendships, including Moody Moody Cars, Growing Friendships, and Kid Confidence. My blog, Growing Friendships on Psychology Today, has over 4.5 million views.
