About me
Hello friend,
I am a licensed psychotherapist with over 7 years of professional experience helping others online and in person with their mental wellbeing. I am also trained in coaching and help give clients the tools required to realize their potential and reach their goals, be it in their career or personal life.
I specialize in the following:
#Anxiety and stress
#Intrusive thoughts, over-thinking and rumination
#Low motivation and "feeling stuck"
#Jealousy-related issues including retroactive jealousy
#Hurt, shame and guilt
# Anger and resentment
#Low self-worth/esteem/confidence/love
Why that particular stuff? Because I know on a personal level that millions upon millions of us are privately battling through these things every single year and everyone else around us doesn't know, understand or sometimes even care.
I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. I've had more than a few people say to me "I know this will sound stupid" and even "you're going to think I'm a really bad person". Trust me, it never sounds stupid and most of all, if you've thought, said or even did/do bad things then you're human like me and by default it means you are here because you want to be good. So be welcome!
Sessions with me are spaces for you to be heard with complete non-judgment but unlike some other mental wellbeing professionals, we go further than this; we make and commit to a PLAN.
My process involves giving you the time and space to unpack, get an overview of what is going on in your mind and in your life, learn how to spot where things are going wrong and how to look at them with more rationality and clarity and then collaborate on how to put them into action with structured tasks and assignments between sessions. The aim is to one day feel "ah, you know what, that doesn't really bother me as much and don't really think about it anymore".
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I hope I can be of help no matter your age, gender, background or personal beliefs. By being here it shows you've made the decision to fix and manage what you're experiencing and that means you've got the will to overcome your problem.
Stay awesome,
Ed
