About me
I became a therapist because I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and the transformative power of authentic connection. From a young age, I’ve been drawn to people’s stories, struggles, dreams, and the strength they find to keep going through pain and uncertainty. I chose this path because I want to walk alongside others as they navigate life’s difficulties and discover purpose and meaning in their lives. What inspires me most are the powerful moments of growth that can happen in therapy—when someone begins to believe in their worth again, when patterns start to shift, or when a long-held burden begins to feel a little lighter. Being a social worker allows me to hold space for those moments and guide the process of healing and change.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. Every person responds differently to treatment, and part of my role is to help identify and apply the approach that best fits your goals and values. My work is grounded in a client-centered perspective, which means I see therapy as a collaborative process where I walk alongside clients as they move toward self-discovery and meaningful change. I also take a trauma-informed approach, which prioritizes emotional safety and recognizes how trauma can impact a person’s view of themselves and the world.
In addition, I incorporate evidence-based practices (EBPs) to support structured, goal-oriented change. During my clinical training at the Orlando VA Healthcare System, I completed specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also use Solution-Focused Therapy and am currently integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which helps clients align their actions with their values while learning to navigate difficult emotions more effectively.
I have experience working with young adults, adults, and Veterans. I enjoy supporting clients through life transitions and helping them manage challenges such as depression, anxiety, anger, and spiritual struggles. I also work with individuals processing trauma, drawing from my extensive experience at the Orlando VA. Additional areas I address include self-esteem and self-worth, burnout and work-related stress, performance anxiety, and existential concerns such as identity, purpose, and mortality. I aim to create a space where clients feel supported, empowered, and understood so they can move toward the kind of life they want to live.
