I am Dr. Shanique Slowley-Azeez, EdD, LPC, CSOTP, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider specializing in trauma-informed counseling, emotional regulation, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and behavioral treatment. I am passionate about providing compassionate, culturally aware, and evidence-based care focused on healing, accountability, emotional wellness, and long-term personal growth.
I am Dr. Shanique Slowley-Azeez, EdD, LPC, CSOTP, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider with a Doctor of Education in Community Care & Counseling focused in Traumatology. I specialize in trauma-informed counseling, emotional regulation, behavioral treatment, and supporting individuals navigating complex emotional and life challenges.
I am passionate about helping individuals work through trauma, anxiety, emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide a supportive, structured, culturally aware, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, develop insight, and build healthier coping strategies.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, compassionate, and accountability-focused. I believe each individual has the capacity for growth and healing when provided with empathy, support, and a safe therapeutic space. I integrate evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique needs while emphasizing emotional healing, resilience, rehabilitation, personal growth, and long-term behavioral change.
I am especially committed to supporting individuals involved in the legal system while promoting dignity, responsibility, and meaningful progress. I believe therapy should be an empowering and collaborative experience that fosters self-awareness, emotional wellness, and lasting change.
