About me
I am a trauma therapist and founder of a diverse, culturally responsive mental health practice. I help adults heal from complex trauma and chronic stress using EMDR, talk therapy, and mind-body approaches.
About Me
I’m Dr. Nadya Levitt, a trauma therapist and the founder of Leavitt Marriage and Family Therapy. I work with adults navigating the impact of complex trauma, childhood emotional wounds, burnout, and relational stress. My clients are often high-achieving and self-aware, yet they feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them—people-pleasing, over-functioning, self-doubt, or chronic emotional exhaustion.
My approach is collaborative, direct, and warm. I prioritize building trust and safety, while also helping clients explore the deeper roots of their distress. I draw from a range of modalities—EMDR, brainspotting, CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy—tailored to each person’s needs. My goal is to support long-term healing, not just short-term symptom relief. I specialize in helping people reconnect with their sense of self, understand their emotional responses, and create more fulfilling relationships—with others and with themselves.
About My Practice
At Leavitt Marriage and Family Therapy, we are a group of dedicated, trauma-informed therapists who share a commitment to high-quality, accessible care. Our team includes psychologists, marriage and family therapists, social workers, clinical counselors with a wide range of specialties, experiences, and therapeutic styles. We work with kids, adults, couples, and families across California and Arizona.
We believe that therapy should be both compassionate and effective. Our therapists are trained in a variety of evidence-based and relational approaches, including EMDR, somatic work, trauma-focused CBT, brainspotting, DBT, ACT, EFT, and psychodynamic therapy. Many of our clients come to us for support with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, or relationship concerns.
We accept most major insurances, offer therapy in multiple languages, and are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive space for healing. Whether you’re just starting your therapeutic journey or returning to it with new goals, we’re here to meet you where you are—with care, expertise, and respect.
If you’re unsure which therapist might be the best fit for you, we’re happy to help you find the right match on our team.
