I have worked various clinical roles with special focus in Mental Health and Counseling services since 2012 under direct supervision with Licensed Professional Clinical Psychologist. I obtained my doctorate (PhD) in 2017 and have been trained in extensive clinical experience within the modalities of Individual, Family, Group and Couples Psychotherapy interventions applied within various clinical approaches such as that of: Psychoanalytical, Psychodynamic, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Multimodal, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative, Expressive psychotherapies, Motivational interviewing, Existential/ Humanistic psychotherapeutic approaches considering a holistic analysis to help address various psychological triggers, behavioral responses and distress that the client may go through.
I have had vast experience and training in psychological testing: Psychoeducational, Neuropsychological and Personality Assessment to help provide diagnostic clarity towards other clinicians of the current mental health conditions that are present. In addition I have worked with emphasis in Health Psychology and Clinical Psychological interventions to offer support in managing crisis interventions, minimize the effects of Trauma and Childhood Trauma with clients whom have diagnosis of PTSD as other mental health conditions such as Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Addiction, Bipolar, Depression/Anxiety and behavioral problems. In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our initial session, we will examine your biopsychosocial background through a comprehensive clinical discussion, with a specific emphasis on your present symptoms and how they affect your daily life experiences. This collaborative approach aims to create a treatment plan, establish treatment goals, and estimate the expected duration of the treatment. Initial assessment may be established to better understand the client's current situation, state of being and mental health.
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
The psychological and psychotherapy interventions offered are tailored specific to each and every client's own needs. In my professional formation I have utilized Psychoanalytical, Behavioral. Humanistic , Existential and Interpersonal perspectives to help the client understand their life experiences and their capabilities to address the various psychological problems that each may face in their daily life. Clients learn to explore further deeper into the areas that have been known by themselves, by others and that of which still remains to be discovered by the client.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
The biggest strengths that I have been able to identify are associated with my clinical skills of analytical thinking as I have been able to help my clients to define their symptoms, set clinical goals and help the client to work with deep trauma experiences that affect how they may feel, think, act and react under various circumstances. I have helped client to problem solve their daily situations as also lead the client to identify how the unconsciousness can interfere in their quality of life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Having experience in assisting individuals of all ages facing diverse challenges, I deeply understand the importance of approaching difficulties in a holistic manner. It's crucial to acknowledge each person's distinct experience within common diagnostic or symptomatic contexts. Therapy can be demanding, and my goal is to help patients navigate challenging terrain while encouraging them to leverage motivating factors related to their goals and well-being.
